Liz’s hemoglobin numbers dropped enough that they are now giving her a unit of blood. There hasn’t been any additional bleeding since about 5:00 pm yesterday, so there is optimism we may get to go home today.

Good and bad news on the imaging front – bad news being the PET scan will be rescheduled for sometime that is at least 3 nights after she is discharged from the hospital. Good news is that they are doing the Liver MRI today while she is here instead of it being done outpatient on Sunday as was originally planned.

Consensus on the cause seems to be that it was “slough” from the tumor, which is not altogether uncommon. Will update with anything new.
